PENANG: On 12th September 2019, Kampus Sejahtera organised 'Senamrobik Kampus Sejahtera' at Stadium Olahraga USM. The programme was joined by more than 500 students and staff with most participation from first year students. Parallel to USMFit concept by USM, this programme is opt to be one of the initiatives for all USM citizens to practice a healthy lifestyle despite busy schedule. 'Senamrobik Kampus Sejahtera' has been an on-going programme by Kampus Sejahtera since a few years back and the participation from the students has never been disappointing.
The senamrobik session was led by Mohd Syukuri, a second-year student from School of Educational Studies. Despite being a solo instructor on stage, all of his movements could be followed by the participants. With six songs used including songs for warm up and cool down sessions, the session lasted for about more than one hour, few seconds breaks in between.
Other committees of Kampus Sejahtera (in Kampus Sejahtera shirt) also joined the session by standing before the participants as a guide in the movements. As there has not been exco members for the organisation, each highest committee member took different roles in the event's committee list.
As this programme offered myCSD for students, and myCPD for staff members, the registration for the purpose was done after the event ended with five tables and three counters on each table opened in the stadium. Two methods were used for the registration purpose, computerised and on-paper registration to cut the time for the participants to queue.
'Senamrobik Kampus Sejahtera' is the first event for the secretariat in 2019/2020 academic year and it is also a platform for the organisation to attract the students' attention to join their upcoming activities in the semester.
