PENANG: On 18 MAY 2021, The Team Energy from Kampus Sejahtera Society had organized a meaningful and informative program called “NUCLEAR ENERGY TALK: IS IT SAFE?”. This program was held through the online platforms which are Microsoft Teams and Facebook Live.
The objective of this program was to provide the opportunities to the USM students to enhance their information and knowledge about nuclear energy. This program would also provide knowledge to the students about “Can nuclear energy be used as an alternative source of energy?” and “Is it safe to use nuclear energy?”. Team Energy had invited Dr. Foong Swee Yeok from the School of Biological Sciences to share her knowledge in nuclear energy to USM students. In this sharing session, Dr. Foong had shared a lot of the information and details about nuclear energy to students. In this sharing session, the participants have a chance to learn and know about the structure of nuclear energy. Besides that, the participants would also get to gain the information whether nuclear energy can be an alternative source of energy and whether it is safe or not. After Dr. Foong ended her sharing session, Team Energy continued the session with a photograph session. The sharing session had ended after the photograph session.
The program was considered successful because of the huge number of participants. Through this sharing session, participants had gained a lot of knowledge about nuclear energy. In conclusion, this sharing session really is interesting, and it was a knowledgeable program to all the participants.
