PENANG : On the 25th of May 2021, Kampus Sejahtera society conducted an amazing water sustainability event. The title of this event was Global Water Future. Global Water Future is an act of focusing on water sustainability ( SDG 6 ).
The primary priority of this event was to raise awareness about the significance of drinking water and sanitation for all people. This talk took place on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This talk was given by Prof. Dr. Chan Ngai Weng. Water Resources, Hydrology, Flood Hazard Management, and Climatology are his areas of expertise. This event was held virtually on Microsoft Teams. The participants who registered for this event were required to join the mentioned Telegram group for more details regarding the event. MyCSD points were given to all the participants who were in the event from the beginning till the end.
It is an undeniable fact that the participants had gained numerous benefits from this talk. The speaker also enlightened us on many ways to save water to ensure its sustainability. The audiences realized the importance of clean water and shared the knowledge gained with their families and friends. Besides this, it’s really a proud feeling to mention that the participants will be able to impact the society both indirectly.
